Milton Renews GRS Certification Following Annual Audit

Milton has passed the annual audit for the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and successfully renewed its certification. Having first obtained the GRS certification last August, Milton has once again met this international standard on the strength of a well-run management system and consistent operational performance, evidence of a sustained commitment to sustainable development.

A second successful audit

The Global Recycled Standard, developed by the international non-profit Textile Exchange, is the most widely recognised certification for recycled products worldwide. It covers five areas: recycled material content, supply chain traceability, environmental protection, social responsibility and chemical management. For international brands, it is the benchmark for selecting environmentally responsible suppliers.

Annual reassessment sets a higher bar than initial certification, as auditors look for continuity, stability and demonstrable improvement in how the system operates. This year's audit confirmed Milton's practices across recycled material traceability, supply chain control and social responsibility, finding the GRS system mature, the records complete and the results clear.

Steady work, lasting results

Since achieving certification last year, Milton has continued to deepen its sustainability practices, strengthening end to end traceability from raw material procurement through to customer delivery, screening upstream suppliers rigorously to ensure compliant sourcing and consistent quality, and conducting regular internal audits and management reviews so that GRS requirements are applied at every stage.

The certification has also delivered tangible commercial value over the past year. Customer relationships have grown steadily, brand recognition has continued to improve, and the company's competitive position within the green plastics supply chain has strengthened.

A broader certification portfolio to meet customer requirements

Milton has built certification coverage on two levels: company-wide management systems and individual raw material products. GRS, first obtained in August 2025 and now renewed, covers full-chain traceability for recycled plastic pellets. ISCC PLUS, held continuously since 2025, addresses bio-based and circular content, sustainable supply chain management, greenhouse gas reduction and circular economy practice. Selected products additionally carry UL 2809 recycled content validation, which quantifies post-consumer (PCR) and post-industrial (PIR) content precisely.

Whatever the industry and whichever standard is required, Milton can supply compliant products together with the technical support customers need to meet their sustainability targets efficiently.

Committed to the green transition

As a plastic raw material distributor, we occupy a critical position in the supply chain. Building a broad certification portfolio serves our customers' varied requirements, and it reflects the standards we hold ourselves to. We will continue to invest in sustainability and work alongside customers worldwide to build a circular economy.
